Deep in that yawning chasm of creativity opened by the sad demise of your favourite bands – At the Drive-In, Million Dead, Refused, and Yourcodenameis:Milo
– four young men from Norway and England are plotting to fill the void. Formed
little over a year ago, Carnival Kids are already two eps down the line, both
packed with a blistering assault of passionate rock music, taking its cues from
sources both violent and beautiful. Wielding hooks and heart in equal measure, the Kids weld the honesty and propulsion of hardcore to huge choruses
and sing-along verses. It’s an uncompromising proposition; a furious tapestry
of restless riffs, knitted together by a rhythm section as metronomic as it is
grooving. Influenced by bands as diverse as Converge, Thursday and The Get
Up Kids, this band is hotly tipped for bigger and better things. Gentlemen, start
your engines – the Carnival’s coming to town.

PA
The band requires a professional PA system consisting of a Professional
speaker system, a Professional monitor system capable of running 4 mixes,
each with a separate channel of graphic eq and a Professional Quality Mixing
Console at monitors and Front Of House. No special requirements for what
brand all the different components are as long as they’re fully operational and
it sounds good.
LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS
No special requirements for lighting as long as there are some lights. But preferably a few colour washes in strong colours such as blue, red, white, green
and the occasional pink/purple. Orange also works. As long as it doesn’t look
like a circus show, the band will be satisfied.
