Pool Ranking Tournament July

Attention all pool players,
In order to establish the best pool players in the pub
and also to create a bit of interest in a sport-less
summer TV schedule we will be holding a ranking
tournament throughout the month of July. The idea is
to pit players against a number of other randomly
chosen players in order to find the most consistent of
us. This will then be displayed in the bar and will be
used to seed players for future tournaments. It will also
be used to create a challenge system which will be
introduced and explained clearly at a later stage. The
first plan is to create the table itself.
There will also be a cash prize for the top 2 positions at
the end of the month and a nice bottle of Champagne.

You can register at the bar with any member of staff.

The rules
£5 to register ,
Draw to take place Friday 8th JULY, games to be played when
arranged between 8th and 29th july.
All matches are played adhering to League Rules.
All games to be completed in order to establish ranking points.
All matches must be supervised by an adjudicator familiar with
league rules and approved by each opponent.
All matches will be set a particular date and time which will be
displayed after the draw on the 8th july
Opponents can choose to re-arrange matches for a more convenient
time if necessary, all matches must be completed by the deadline of
29th July.

Format
Players will draw several opponents to play on specific evenings
throughout the month of July.
The amount of opponents depends upon the amount of entrants.
All matches will be played over the best of 3 games
Points
1pt per game won

1pt awarded for matches won

Eg jim 3-0 bob = jim 4pts

bob 0pts

Or jim 1-2 bob = jim 1pt

bob 3pts

When all points are totalled on completion of the tournament any tied
positions will be settled by 3 game play off.
