Webelevate 2.0
A coveted course, which accepts only 30 applicants (Digital Marketing) per course.
Webelevate develops existing knowledge and skills by learning from industry
professionals. The course also increases experience through project-based work
placement. I created, designed and managed the marketing campaign of an industry
project working with an animation studio.
Business and German Honours Degree:
This is a highly prestigious programme accepting only 15 students annually.
Subjects mastered include: Marketing; Organisation & Management; Organisational
Behaviour; Strategic Management; Economics & Economic History among others.
I spent a year in Austria on Erasmus. I engaged in many projects and presentation
individually an as part of a team, and learned a great deal about research.
I believe this academic background provides me with an ideal framework on which to
develop in the future.
Work Experience:
Jaspersoft, Digital Marketing Officer, August 2013 – January 2014
At Jaspersoft, I have a range of responsibilities: arranging events with partner companies in
the EMEA region; Contacting potential clients to inform them of the product and it’s benefits;
currently working on a large campaign to break into a new segment, using DM, e-mail and
other tools to grow our customer base; I was tasked with bringing the website’s message in
line with what Jaspersoft wish to communicate; Also, I have been responsible for the design
of some graphics for Jaspersoft events.
Edmund Rice Development, Online Communications Ofc, November 2012 – May 2013
Dealing with the entire online profile of the ERD. I retasked the social media platforms of
Facebook & twitter and I created, shared & managed content that would engage, entertain
and inform the target audience of the wider Edmund Rice Community. I also managed the
website, maintained contacts and helped to create a Newsletter using MailCampaign.
During my time at ERD, I increased ERD's user base by approx. 27% and increased
weekly reach from an average of 300 views to an average of 1350 views.
Marketing Account Executive, Goosebump, January 2012 – June 2012
During my Time at Goosebump my tasks were varied and wide-ranging and included but
not limited to: Liaising with clients, taking amends and getting sign off on a number of
design projects; Liaising with a number of suppliers to get product quotes – 3 per job
were required; Research into areas such as charities and the insurance market; And
supervision and reporting on promos around the country.
I experienced first-hand how Digital Marketing is going to play a greater role in how
businesses promote and market, and was considered for a role in the DM firm RMG.
Skills:
Computer Skills – Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Publisher, Powerpoint,
Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Paint) and other programs: Prezi, WordPress, Pencil.
During my times in Trinity & the DSA I have learnt many new skills: work
efficiently and successfully, both individually and as a team member; creating &
delivering a professional engaging presentation; research & creation of a Case
Study; adaptability and how to research effectively.
Language Skills – Advanced knowledge of German.
Additional Information:
As part of my DSA Webelevate course, I designed, created and managed a
marketing campaign for a Tablet gaming application.
Culturally literate contributor with international experience, having
lived/worked/studied abroad during my degree. During this time, I became highly
competent in working with multi-disciplinary/multi-cultural teams, intercultural
negotiation and international management, all of which are highly relevant in
Ireland’s exceptionally open economy.
I have a high competence writing, reading and speaking German.
My main interests are travel, gaming, music, rugby, reading and film & TV.
I was a member of the Cistercian College Rugby team for many years and made
the quarter-final of the schools cup twice before I finished.
