Project Brief
Key Requirement: Minimal Disruption
At London’s largest Sixth Form College, the NewVic in
Newham, failing metal gutters were allowing water ingress
at the section joints. A waterproofing repair system was
required that would also halt cut edge corrosion to the
metal profiled roof sheets, and so prevent future roof sheet
replacement.
The fast curing Pro-Hydrobond system ensured minimal
disruption and inconvenience to the College, allowing foot
traffic within 2 hours of installation.
The Hydrobond range of systems was selected for both its
high performance and fast cure abilities – allowing rapid
installation and return to service.
Key Requirements: Quality Control
With safe access to the gutters and roofs limited, the
client requested Proteus Waterproofing and its licensed
contractor work in close partnership to successfully deliver
the project to a very high standard.
