OUR PRIVACY POLICY
You are receiving emails from the International Criminal Justice Club (ICJ Club) because you willingly
entered your contact information at an event in which ICJ Club was present or was voluntarily given at
the front desk of the Center for Student Involvement & Leadership (CSIL) (L2.71 NB). Below you will
find our privacy policy in regards to how we obtain and use your contact information:
1. How We Collect and Use Information
Personally Identifiable Information (PID): We collect information that can be used to identify you as an
individual only when you provide such information directly to us in connection with ICJ Club.
2. Types of Personally Identifiable Information you provide us directly
You aren’t required to provide us with any PID; However, you may choose to provide certain PID to us
such as your first and last name, phone number and email address in response to emails and other clearly
identified ICJ Club propaganda. We may also retain the contents of any messages you send to us via
email.
3. Use of Personally Identifiable Information
We may use the PID we collect or receive to communicate directly with you. If you do not want to
receive email messages from us, you have the option to unsubscribe. We also use your PID to send you
ICJ Club related emails or other information that we believe may interest you (e.g., reminders, updates,
other events on campus, etc.). We do not share your email address with third parties or other entities
outside of ICJ Club or John Jay College. You may contact us at any time to request that we remove your
email address from our mailing list at Icj@jjay.cuny.edu.
4. Keeping your information safe
ICJ Club cares about the security of your information and uses commercially reasonable safeguards to
preserve the integrity and security of all information collected through our mailing list. In the event that
any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, ICJ Club and CSIL
will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and, where appropriate, notify those individuals
whose information may have been compromised.
5. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
ICJ Club may, in its sole discretion, modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time, so it is
recommended to review this page periodically. When we change the policy in a material manner, we will
update the “last modified” date at the bottom of this page.
