Commencement Ceremony
Academic procession forms at 8:30 a.m. Guests should be seated by 8:45 a.m.
Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Procession begins at 9:00 a.m.
Commencement begins at 10:00 a.m.

Receptions and Diploma Cover Distribution

Receptions for members of the graduating class, their families, and faculty and administration
will be held after the Commencement ceremony. Diploma covers and a memento from
President Rochon will be distributed at the receptions between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
at the locations listed below. An official diploma will be mailed to each student’s permanent
address approximately four weeks after graduation. Please make sure that the Office of the
Registrar has the graduating student’s correct permanent address on file.

Cablecast Viewing Locations

The ceremony will be televised live on local
cable channel 16. Those who wish to watch the
cablecast from an on-campus location should go
to one of the following viewing sites:
• Campus Center (various locations)*
• Hoerner Theatre, Dillingham Center
• Ford Hall, Whalen Center*
• Park Hall Auditorium*
• TV lounges in all residence halls where
guests are housed
• 101, 102, and 103 Textor Hall
• Hockett Family Recital Hall, Whalen Center
• Iger Lecture Hall, Whalen Center*
*Recommended for mobility-impaired guests
The ceremony will also be shown live on the
web. It may be viewed by going to the
Commencement website beginning at 9:00 a.m.
on Commencement day. Portions of the
ceremony will also be available for later viewing
on the web, beginning the week following
Commencement.

Shuttle Service

Shuttles are available throughout the day for
the assistance of our mobility impaired guests to
and from the Commencement ceremony and
the various receptions. Shuttle stops are located
around campus near all major parking areas, and
signs are posted for easy identification of the
stops. The shuttle service will begin at 7:00 a.m.
and end at 1:00 p.m.
