Everything you see on viomedo was built and designed by our CEO. Sounds like a bad idea?
Especially because he’s not a professional developer? That’s because it is. So basically, you’ll be
replacing the viomedo CEO. Now that’s a special job right there.
In your day-to-day job you will be responsible for viomedo’s complete front-end application. Part of
your responsibility will be to introduce and promote best-practices. Your experience will help us
select the right tools for the jobs we do and constantly make viomedo more useful for patients,
doctors and pharmaceutical companies that run clinical-trials.
This is a full-time position that is based in our office right at the Spree river in east Berlin.

Your qualification
•

You have over 2 years of solid front-end experience. We want you to write beautiful, fast
javascript and maintainable and modular CSS to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way

In order to succeed, you should be an expert in CSS3, HTML5 and modern javascript.
Technologies such as AMD and CommonJS are not foreign to you and you think and work in
a responsive, progressively-enhanced manner. Experience with Node.js is certainly a plus
and prior work with automated or multi-platform testing is desirable, too.

•

We're dealing with very sensitive information at viomedo. You should be able to protect it by
using your knowledge of cookie management, crossdomain scripting and other browser
security issues.

•

You’re an explorer and conqueror, passionate about web user interfaces and pay attention to
the little details. The JS environment evolves very fast. While you love to stay on top and have
already tinkered around with ES6 and such, you can generally assess whether or not it makes
sense to use a certain tool or technique for a given problem.

•

You are driven by impact and the desire to learn. While you can embrace ambiguity of a
startup environment you don’t forget the fun, too. You enjoy a work environment with minimal
hand-holding or supervision.

On average, it takes 12 years to bring an innovative treatment to market and allow doctors to use it
in standard practice. Millions of patients can’t wait that long for a cure or improvement of their
