Circumcision Events
A Series of

S
ummer
season
is
undeniably
the
circumcision season here in
our country where it is
deemed as a right-of-way for young
men traversing through adolescence
towards manhood.
The Order of Asclepius finds itself
in the province of Antique as part of
the
province-wide
Circumcision
Caravan on May 4-26, 2015. The said
program was made possible through
the
efforts
of
the
Provincial
Government of Antique and the
Antique Provincial Health Office,
headed by our brother Dr. Ric Noel A.
Naciongayo, PHO II ( OA Batch 10).
The month long program started
from
the
north
most
inland
municipality of the province in
Libertad on May 4. The team continued
its way southward and ended the first
week at Tibiao, Antique on May 8.
A total of 1087 where circumcised
ranging from ages 10 – 25 years old
with the town of Sebaste having the
least number of participants (140) and
Culasi with the most (267) number
participated
and
successfully
circumcised.
The
team
who
lead
the
circumcision were composed of Dr.
Ric Noel A, Naciongayo, PHO II and
Dr. Leoncio Q. Abiera Jr., MS II.
Resident members William Matthew
T. Suaboksan and Charles Jebb B.
Juanitas (OA Batch 38) took part in
the first week of the circumcision
caravan.
Personnel from the
Philippine
Army
as
well
as
volunteers from WVSU-COM Class
2017 (Excelsior) composed of Judd
Elixir L Berano, Mary Khristy L.
Tallador and Xyra Angelie M.
Sanchez were also present in the
event. Dr. Gregorio Anastacio Rufon
Jr. (OA Batch 11) was also present
during the first day of the circumcision drive at Libertad, Antique.
The free circumcision progam
will continue until the 26th of the
month with the second week catering
to school-age boys from the
municipality of Barbaza, followed by
Laua-an, Bugasong, Valderrama and
Patnongon, respectively.
This project was made possible
through the efforts of the following:

Hospitals, Municipal Health Offices of
the participating municipalities in the
province of Antique, 82nd Infantry
Battalion of the Philippine Army,

6RCDG, Army Reserves and Local
Government Units in the province of
Antique. #
