Hey guys!
On July, 5th, we are going to visit one of the most beautiful places in Rio Grande do Sul, Cânions de
Cambará no Sul. In order for this day to be perfect you must read the information below and keep the
instructions to avoid any unexpected situation.

CAMBARÁ DO SUL

Cambará do Sul is a municipality in the
state Rio Grande do Sul. Its population
was approximately 6500 in 2010. It is in
a region called “Campos da Serra” (Field
above the mountain), one of the most
beautiful and impressive places in Rio
Grande do Sul. The city is one of the
coldest in Brazil and sometimes there is
chance of snow.

To be able to arrive early in Cambará,
and consequently have more time to
explore the canyons, we need to leave
Porto Alegre very early.

DEPARTING TIME: 6:00AM

Important! 6:00am is not the time that you should to be there, is the time that the bus will leave, so we
recommend you to arrive at 5:30, to have enough time to organize everything and avoid be late. If you
are not in the bus at 6:00 we are really sorry but you will lose a great day at canyons and you won’t get
your R$65,00 back. So be on time 

DEPARTING PLACE

Gas station “BR” next to PUC, in Av.
Cristiano Fischer

Our bus has air conditioning, toilet
and fridge. If you have interest in
movies, music, feel free to bring and
use the resources of the bus (TV,
DVD, CD ...)

IMPORTANT: You have to bring with you a document with photo (passport, RNE or RG). If you don’t
bring a document with you we are sorry but you will lose a great day at canyons and won’t get your
R$65 back. So don’t forget your document!

Departing from Porto Alegre, our first stop is in Cambará do Sul for a breakfast (not included in the
value) to gain energy for the canyons. This is going to be a 20-minute stop. We recommend all the
passengers to come down, go to the bathroom, because the Parque Nacional Aparatos da Serra has a
poor infrastructure of restaurants, snacks, etc.

We will try to arrive in the park around 11:30 am, so we can stay a maximum of 5 hours at the canyons,
which is enough time to do the trails and go to the top of the canyons. After we leave we will go back to
the town, have lunch and get the bus.
We will be back in Porto Alegre around 9 pm.

CLOTHING: Wear sports and comfortable clothes. Shoes or boots are essential for those who want to
make trails at the park.

FOOD AND DRINKS: As we told you before, the infrastructure of the park for restaurants and snacks is
poor, so we highly recommend you to bring snacks, fruits and water, for you won’t find many places to
buy here.

WEATHER: Be aware that right now the high temperatures in Cambará do Sul are around 15°C and the
lows are around 7°C. IMPORTANT: The trip will happen regardless of the weather! Once we rent the bus
we can’t cancel, so let’s pray!

Sometimes we have to catch another bus in the city, because the road sometimes has craters. When this
happens we divide the value of this second bus that takes us to the town park (20km) at an additional
costs R$ 5,00.

The reason for this trip is meeting an amazing places, people and cultures, with low prices…
SO LET’S HAVE FUN!
