The FMAA High Achievers Prize in Commerce
2015 APPLICATION FORM
Applications must be submitted by email to UQ Business School by 28 September 2015.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the scholarship selection process in early November.

The FMAA High Achievers Prize in Commerce was established in 2014 from gifts donated by the FMAA to encourage
and support students studying Commerce at the UQ Business School.
The scholarship is valued at $1,000 for one year and will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement and an
interview process. Applicants must be aware that a tentative interview is scheduled for early October and must be available.
The recipient will have the ability to partake in a 12 month mentor program offered by the Macquarie Group.
Eligibility criteria
Consideration for this award shall be given to students who meet the following criteria:
a)

be enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Commerce or dual degree with a Bachelor of Commerce at the UQ Business
School.

b)

completed a minimum of 16 to a maximum of 24 units within the Bachelor of Comerce degree.

c)

achieved a minimum GPA of 6 on a 7 point scale applicable to the courses of the Commerce program only.

d)

has submitted an application form by the due date.

Additional preferences are:
a)

has a genuine desire to pursue a career in Finance.

b)

engages in leadership, teamwork and co-curricular activities.
