The Corporate and Marketing Communications (CMC) academic group
successfully integrates education, research, and professional practice
in support of the Fusion agenda.
The CMC group has one of the
strongest research profiles in the
University due to its research
centres such as the Emerging
Consumer Cultures Group, the
Public Relations Research Group,
the Politics and Media Research
Group and the Latin America
Research Group – all of which are
important hubs of international
activity in their respective fields.
Alongside our research expertise,
many of our staff have come
to academia after successful
international careers in branding,
advertising, marketing, and PR –
and retain very strong links with
industry through commercial
activities, industry competitions
and student placements.
CMC has also been very successful
in commercialising our expertise.
In 2010, we launched the Creative
Enterprise Bureau (CEB) through
which the group has delivered a
wide range of commercial services
