I am a Brighton-based Creative Producer who works across
contemporary, interdiserplinary and queer performance. My practice is
focused on explorations of gender and sexuality in theatre. I collaborate
with artists on all aspects of work from conception to touring. I began my
career at The Basement, before moving onto the Marlborough Theatre
and Pink Fringe, where I continue to work, alongside my freelance
independent producing.

Pink Fringe / Marlborough Theatre, Brighton
Producer
Sept 2013 – present (part-time)
- Overseeing all artistic activity in the organisations alongside fellow
producers
- Project creation and planning
- Writing funding applications to a range of funding bodies (with a
success rate of 84%)
- Managing project budgets up to £30,000
- Supporting and understanding the needs of LGBT artists
- Seeking out new funds and partners to grow and enhance the
sustainability of the organisations
- Programming performance for seasons and club night Traumfrau
- Event planning and management, including curation, technical liaison,
managing staff and volunteers
- Building relationships with national and international arts
organisations and artists whilst maintaining strong links to the
Brighton LGBT community.
- Key achievements include managing the first funded season of
performance at The Marlborough Theatre and surpassing our box
office target, reaching 90% capacity for shows in Autumn 2014
Independent Producer, Brighton & London
Sept 2013 – present (part-time)
I collaborate with a portfolio of artists as a producer, supporting the
delivery of tours, professional development periods and research &
development activities.
I currently produce Rachel Mars, Ira Brand and Emma Frankland (None of
Us is Yet a Robot). I work with these artists long-term, project-to-project,
planning and supporting the next stages of activity. I also work on a
short-term model with artists on specific projects; recent collaborations
include Eilidh MacAskill and Mars.tarrab.

My work as an independent producer often consists of the following:
- Long term strategic planning of artists’ activity
- Building tours for existing work
- Seeking partners and commissioners for new work
- Writing funding applications

- Tour administration – issuing contracts, booking travel and accommodation
- Seeking out opportunities for development, presentation and funding

Camden People’s Theatre, London
Artist Development Producer
Feb – March 2015 (part-time)
- Provided producing support for all artists participating in the festival with one-on-one sessions
- Worked closely with emergent artists on the Starting Blocks programme, mentoring them over the month
- Hosted a session on writing Grants for the Arts applications and created an accompanying free access
online guide.
Undercurrent Festival, Shoreham
Assistant Producer
June – Aug 2011 & 2013 (part time)
- Managing production logistics for site specific and outdoor work
- Set up and de-rigging of performances
- Supporting the artists presenting work and providing information to the audience
The Basement, Brighton
Programme Manager / Arts Administrator
Dec 2010 – Aug 2013 (full-time)
- Worked closely with the Artistic Director to curate and deliver The Basement’s artistic programme
- Managed the delivery of The Basement and Jubilee Square’s artistic programmes
- Curated regular performance night Supper Club; which involved booking and liaising with artists,
scheduling and production management on the night
- Collated copy and images, issuing contracts for programmed artists and subsequently the production
management of all programmed activity
- Liaised with educational institutes to develop opportunities for students
- Worked closely with artists to develop a clear and realistic schedule of activity
- Supported artists Arts Council applications
- Pro-actively sought out new work and emergent artists to support and expand the commissioning and
residency programme
