What does it mean to be a man? What unique challenges and
uncertainties do we face, and how do we best manage them?
It starts with self-sufficiency. By seeking the inner Self we
develop insight into ourselves and our lives, remaining peaceful
and responsive throughout the procession of life’s opposites.
This subjective science is Vedanta, a philosophical enquiry into
Who or what am I? It improves critical thinking and deepens
insight into the anatomy of life. What follows is a more
successful and harmonious relationship with our world,
our loved ones, and ourself.
Glen Callahan has been studying and teaching Vedanta,
the ancient philosophy of India for over ten years. In 2006 he
enrolled in the 3-year residential course at the Vedanta Academy,
studying under renowned contemporary philosopher and author
A. Parthasarathy, where he remained until June 2014. Glen has teaching
experience in India, USA, New Zealand, and Mauritius, conducting regular
public study groups, business seminars and workshops, as well as classes
in spas, high-schools and universities. He is co-founder of Vedanta
Institute LA, and regularly contributes to the VILA blog.
