2016 READYKAMP
APPLICATION
July 24-27, 2016

BE A HERO

READYKAMP participants will
learn how they can play an
important role in disaster
preparedness with handsonexercises,learning
opportunities, and fun activities.

Idaho READYKAMP 2016 is
designed for 7th and 8th graders
who reside in Adams, Canyon,
Gem, Owyhee, Payette, and
Washington Counties and who
are interested in learning how to
help their families and
communities be safer, stronger,
and more prepared in the case of
a disaster or emergency event.
READYKAMP is a four-day, threenight, sleep-over camp held on
July 24-27, 2016 in the Canyon
County area. This camp is FREE
to the FIRST 36 selected.

On the final day, participants will
take part in a “pretend” disaster
using the skills and knowledge
gained at READYKAMP. At the
conclusion of camp, each
successful participant will attend
a graduation dinner and awards
ceremony with their families and
receive a ready kit and a diploma.

How do I apply for
Idaho READYKAMP?
Ask your parents to help you fill-out
the application in this brochure.
Then, create a neatly hand-written
paragraph, titled: “What I Would Do
to Prepare for a Disaster.” Submit
your completed application and
paragraph to:
