WHAT IS MEPHIT FUR MEET?
Mephit Fur Meet started in the 90’s as a pizza party in GrowlTiger’s
home in Memphis, Tennessee. It outgrew his home and he moved it
to a Howard Johnson’s Inn in East Memphis.
After a few hotel changes over the years, Mephit Fur Meet came to
its new home in 2009, the Whispering Woods Hotel & Conference
Center in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Even with the changes throughout the years, one thing that remains
the same is that Mephit Fur Meet feels like home to many, as well as
a family reunion you can actually look forward to!

“My name is Sarah Schnau, but I’m more
commonly known as Noxychu.
I am a Freelance Portrait Artist and I was formerly an
employee of the World of Warcraft Database website known
as Wowhead, creating miscellaneous illustrations and logos. I
am now working for the awesome Editorial website
known as Blizzard Watch.
Born in the United Kingdom, I immigrated to the USA in 2011
and I’m currently living in North Texas. I have been drawing
for most of my life and attended an art school/college back
in England. I’ve also recently been featured on the official
Warcraft website in a Community Spotlight!

OUR CHARITY, TIGER HAVEN
As in years past we will be raising money to benefit Tiger Haven, a
safe home for big cats. Tiger Haven rescues large cats such as
lions, tigers, and panthers from all over the United States. Once
these cats have been rescued by Tiger Haven, they have a forever
home. Tiger Haven is a no kill shelter that does not sell
or breed their cats.
Tiger Haven is located in eastern Tennessee and usually affords
MFM a couple of their long time workers to be with us at MFM and at
the charity auction. These workers will happily answer any
questions you have about Tiger Haven. These people work hard
everyday to ensure these big cats have a safe
and comfortable home for life.

To carry on the tradition in celebration of MFM’s roots, we host a Pizza
Feed every year on Friday after Opening Ceremonies, free to all attendees.

OUR ENGINEER OF HONOR, TAVI MUNK
Our theme for 2016 is “All Board,” and our staff knew that we
couldn’t have a train theme without an Engineer! We are happy to
introduce our Engineer of Honor, Tavi Munk!
Tavi has been a supporter and a dealer at MFM for many years, and
we’re super excited to have him driving our train this year!

In celebration of our twentieth anniversary, we offered an exclusive
membership to attendees during pre-registration. This level cost
$500 and included all other sponsor perks, exclusive items,
exclusive dinner and $100 donated directly to Tiger Haven.
The response was amazing, and significantly jumpstarted our
fundraising for the kitties even before the convention begins. Thank

A POKEMON GO MARCH
Friday from 12PM - 2PM
Located at Pavilion, Outdoors
Weather permitting, Pokémon trainers with the app may join us for
a walk to find PokeSpots and Gyms in the area surrounding the
Mephit Fur Meet hotel. Bring your incense, lures, PokeBalls and
meet us outside at the pavilion!

DRUNKYCHU’S DOODLES
Friday from 11:30PM - 12AM
Located in Dogwood on Mezzanine
Meet our GOH!! Spend an evening with Noxychu as she enjoys some
adult beverages and sketches your suggestions live, and offers
colorful commentary along the way.

FURSONA NON GRATA, A RADIO PLAY
Sunday from 7PM - 9PM
Located in Hickory on Mezzanine
Fursona Non Grata (furry not welcomed) is a play about a
successful couple and right before the big question is asked a
phone call disrupts the big occasion. An emergency has happened
and a rush to get home to finally meet her family. Her family is
different as her boy friend will soon find out.
