Planning Committee

Delta Trauma Care Region , facilities and EMS services invite you to
attend the 2016 Trauma Conference. The goal of the conference is
to provide evidence-based practices and current trends in trauma
care.





Target Audience



The conference is designed to cover all disciplines involved in the
care of the trauma patient including physicians, mid-level providers,
nurses, pre-hospital personnel, and other interested health care
providers.





Accreditation & Credit Designation



Continuing Medical Education



This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with
the Essential Areas and policies of the Mississippi State Medical
Association through the joint providership of Baptist Memorial
Health Care Corporation (BMHCC) and Delta Trauma Care Region,
Inc. BMHCC is accredited by the Mississippi State Medical
Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation designates this live
activity for a maximum of 19.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.
Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the
extent of their participation in the activity.
Continuing Nursing Education
Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation, the Center for Education
& Organizational Development is an approved provider of continuing
nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an
accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s
Commission on Accreditation. Up to 19.50 hours will be awarded.
Continuing EMS Education
Continuing Education Hours have been applied for through the
Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education.
Complete attendance is required to receive continuing education
credit for the activity.

The Conference will be held at Sam’s Town Casino in Tunica, Mississippi, deep in the heart of the Delta…
A block of rooms have bee n reserved at Sam’s Town Casino at a discounted rate of $49/night if booked by October 1, 2016.
After that date regular room rates will apply and availability cannot be guaranteed.

Registration
Conference Registration: $100 for full conference, if received by October 5, 2016.
Registration received after October 5, 2016 will be $125.
Cadaver/Disaster Lab: $50 (in addition to conference fee). The Delta Trauma Care Region has partnered with the Paragon
Medical Education Group to provide hands on basic and advanced airway management, anatomy and physiology, IO insertions,
and more.
Seating is limited; lab will be booked in order of registrations received. Participants must be registered in order to participate in
the lab. Max number of participants is 25 per lab.
