Hello Aggies!
In hopes of boosting relations between UC Davis alumni in the country and UC Davis Chile, we
are starting a monthly newsletter. There are over 200 Aggie alumni here! We want to showcase current
alumni work in Chile and expand opportunities for involvement. The News and Upcoming Events
section aims at extending participation in UC Davis Chile events.
UC Davis Chile is the first step in the internationalization of UC Davis in Latin America, it is supported
by CORFO´s Program to Attract International Centers of Excellence. We work with the Chilean
agrifood sector to provide science-based technological solutions via a collaborative research platform.
In our first two years we have worked primarily with the viticulture and enology sectors, in close
relation with the Concha y Toro and VSPT (Viña San Pedro y Tarapacá) vineyards. You can find out
more about our board; academic and business alliances; current operations; our team, our newsletters
and much more on our website: http://ucdavischile.org/
The center has several teams including a technical science team, a Program Consulting and
Development team, an Innovation and Tech-Transfer Business Development team, among others. In
the Team Update Section, we will highlight a team´s initiatives. This month, the Science Team: a
multidisciplinary group of researchers who aim to provide knowledge and cutting-edge technologies to
generate agricultural solutions.
