STUDENTS ON THE
AUTISTIC SPECTRUM

ABOUT THE
COURSE
The aim is to give you the tools required
to find work placements and employment.
The University of York works with United
Response (a charity supporting people
with disabilities towards gaining and
sustaining employment) to support
students of any year group with Autism to
prepare for employment.
We understand the idea of graduation
can be daunting. However, with the
guidance of United Response and Careers
we aim to support you through this
transition by offering our Graduation to
Employment courses.
There will be two courses available on
Wednesday afternoons in the spring term:
1) Pre-Employment Module (5 weeks)
2) Job Club (3 weeks)
You may choose to attend one of the
courses or both.
Our approach will be practical and
centred around you and your needs,
giving you skills and knowledge towards
finding and sustaining employment once
you graduate.
