Jeff’s retained search practice, nicknamed “the fit practice,” is focused on helping
clients realize an ideal fit between executive talent and an organization’s culture and
values. Jeff holds a BA in Business and an MBA from California State University,
Fullerton. Jeff serves on the Board of Directors of OneOC and on the Advisory Board
for the Center for Leadership at California State University, Fullerton. In addition, he is
the founder of DifferenceMakersOC to encourage more leaders to make a difference
through participating in not-for-profit and charitable causes.

Jason Pinegar, Associate Principal Consultant
Jason brings valuable knowledge as an innovative and evaluative Management
Consultant, assisting individuals and organizations, through an established creative
and collaborative process, with an emphasis on leadership development and
managing organizational change. Jason graduated with an MBA in Leadership &
Managing Organizational Change from Pepperdine University, an MA in Public Policy &
Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University, and a BA in Psychology from the
University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Kelly Nguyen, Executive Search Coordinator
Kelly works closely with Jeff and Jason, assisting in growing the fit practice and
serving on the DifferenceMakersOC Committee. Prior to joining McDermott & Bull,
Kelly earned the Gates Millennium Scholarship and served as a Campus-Based
Leader and Co-Founder of the Gates Millennium Scholars Association at UCSD. She
was also the Lead Peer Educator for the Center for Student Involvement at UCSD
focusing on communication and leadership development. Kelly graduated with a BA
degree in Communication from the University of California San Diego (UCSD).
