PhD student?

Fancy a break from work?


I’m a final year undergraduate Linguistics student conducting
research into the language used and attitudes held by
University of York students.


I’m looking to recruit first year undergraduates and

first year PhD students to take part in a study which
will involve listening to some audio clips and responding to
questions on these, as well as a written questionnaire. To
take part you must:

• Be either:
o 18-21 years old and in your first year of full time
study for an undergraduate degree
o 22-25 years old and in your first year of full time
study for a PhD
• Be a native speaker of English

Sessions should last approximately 15 minutes and will take
place in the library. If you are interested in participating
