Dear  Mrs.  Burns:  
It  is  with  great  enthusiasm  that  I  submit  my  resume  for  the  position  of  freelance  writer.  I  am  a  recent  
graduate  of  Full  Sail  University’s  Media  Communications  bachelors  degree  program  therefore  I  know  that  
the  skills  I  have  learned  will  be  of  great  asset  to  the  UrbanBound  team.  I  know  I  will  be  a  great  fit  for  this  
company  due  to  the  fact  that  I  am  a  team  player,  great  communicator,  excited  to  try  new  technology,  and  
I  am  very  familiar  with  the  city  of  Austin,  Texas.  I  will  help  your  company  make  history  by  generating  
creative  and  innovative  subject  ideas.  After  reading  How  to  Write  Short:  Word  Craft  for  Fast  Times  by  Roy  
Peter  Clark  I  am  accustomed  to  writing  short  stories  and  I  know  that  I  can  bring  that  talent  to  
UrbanBound.  
In  addition  to  being  a  team  player  and  great  communicator,  I  am  also  a  fanatic  for  research.  I  enjoy  doing  
research  and  I  think  that  researching  information  is  the  most  important  responsibility  of  a  freelance  
writer.  I  want  my  audience  to  have  all  the  information  they  need  to  form  an  appropriate  decision.  I  
adapted  my  love  of  research  while  I  was  attending  Full  Sail  and  during  that  time  my  research  skills  
improved  greatly.  I  am  very  detailed  in  my  research  and  I  believe  in  applying  these  details  in  my  writing  as  
well.  I  am  very  well  versed  in  using  Microsoft  Word  it  is  in  fact  my  preferred  word  program.  
Last  but  certainly  not  least,  I  know  I  have  all  the  skills  and  qualifications  that  UrbanBound  is  looking  for  in  
your  freelance  writer.  I  have  been  following  UrbanBound  and  I  love  what  this  company  offers  its  
customers.  I  am  very  excited  to  have  the  opportunity  to  work  for  such  a  great  company  and  I  look  forward
