Sustainable fishing
In the world, more than 85% of fish species are fished to
maximum capacity or even overfished (WWF). This means that we
get out of the oceans more fish than what is naturally produced.
Hence, several fish species are seriously endangered.
Because this is unacceptable, Lidl has chosen to make its supply even more sustainable
by selling 100% sustainable fish by end 2017. Note that our fresh fish is already 100%
sustainable.
