Volunteer Work Habitat for Humanity    Housebuilding Project The indigenous people of the Amazonian rainforest have always struggled with extreme poverty. Habitat for Humanity’s existence is focused on solving this problem. Volunteers travel deep into the forest to aid in the construction of modern housing for the local tribes. While no volunteers receive monetary compensation, the thousands of the smiles created during the project have a higher value than cash could ever provide! 2/16/17 – 3/14/17 American Red Cross    Hospital Volunteer During the Flu season of 2016, a new strain of flu infected many people and there was a rise in the amount of sick people with HIV. Many hospitals in the LA area were struggling to keep up with influx of patients. Red Cross provided aid with the help of volunteer workers and supported the hospitals. 10/14/16 – 10/28/16 Feeding America   Feed the Children Project Child Hunger is an overlooked problem in United States. Many kids are malnourished and this is often overlooked. Feeding America is working hard across the country to help provide nutritious meals to kids in poverty.  6/24/16 – 6/30/16
