KEEL
Keel è legno, legno marittimo, chiglia. Quella trave della barca, del veliero. Nasce per vivere
in acqua e affrontare la forza del mare che col tempo leviga, scalfisce, modifica, rendendo
unici i rilievi e gli incavi del legno.
Irregolarità e unicità dei singoli pezzi: un progetto che esalta la tridimensionalità, visiva
e tattile, nei giochi di vuoti e pieni delle venature e dei nodi, che abbina dodici superfici
a rilievo a una varietà di texture grafiche, con risultati di forte impatto realistico, sempre
differenti e unici.
Come lo sono i legni consumati dal mare.
I pezzi dei tre colori della collezione Keel - Tundra, Savana, Foresta - sono il risultato di
molteplici combinazioni grafico-strutturali e sono proposti in un mix casuale. Casualità
che garantisce, nella posa in opera, sequenze di fatto non riproducibili, formate da pezzi
sempre diversi.
Keel nasce per rivestimento o pavimento. E qui, una tentazione sarà forte: camminarci a
piedi nudi.
Keel è un progetto del marchio Fìttile, dal latino fictĭlis, “fatto di argilla”: nome che omaggia
la tradizione dell’arte ceramica italiana.
Keel is wood, sea wood, keel. The timber of the boat, of the sailor. Created to live in water and face
the sea strength by which it is smoothed, scratched, changed, with the flow of time, thus making its
remarked features and its cavities unique.
Irregularity and uniqueness of its single pieces: a project that exalts the 3D dimension, visual and
tactile, with games between solids and voids of veinings and ties, combining twelve surfaces with a
variety of graphical textures. The results have a strong realistic impact, always different and unique.
The pieces available in the three colours of Keel collection – Tundra, Savana, Foresta – are the result
of several graphical-structural combinations and are proposed in random mixes. When installed,
this randomness guarantees one-off sequences, thanks to always different pieces.
Keel is created for wall coverings or floors. Temptation to walk on it barefoot will be strong.
Keel collection is branded Fìttile, from the latin word fictĭlis which means “made of clay”. The name
aims at honoring the millenary tradition of the italian art ceramic.
