Frequently Asked Question
HOW DOES BARLOW PAY OWNER OPERATORS?
– Barlow pays O/O 74% of a loads line haul and 100% of the fuel surcharge.

WHAT DO OWNER OPERATORS PAY FOR OUT OF POCKET?
– O/O are responsible for tolls, scales and tractor/reefer fuel. Barlow reimburses
unloading expenses with valid receipts.

HOW MUCH ARE THE LEASE PAYMENTS?
– Lease payments are determined based on truck age and range from $500 -$650
weekly.

HOW LONG IS A LEASE?
– New Trucks are 5 years with an option to buy.

WHAT ARE MY UPFRONT COSTS?
– There is no down payment required to enroll in the lease purchase program.

HOW OFTEN WILL I BE HOME?
– Drivers receive 1 day for every 7 days on the road.

HOW DOES BARLOW PAY COMPANY DRIVERS?
– Barlow pays company drivers 20% of a loads line haul.

WHAT DO COMPANY DRIVERS PAY OUT OF POCKET?
– All expenses with valid receipts are reimbursed to company drivers, this
includes tractor & trailer fuel, tolls and unloading.

HOW MUCH OTR EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
– Barlow requires 2 years of verifiable over the road experience.

DOES BARLOW HAVE A SAFETY REWARDS PROGRAM?
– Yes. Barlow takes safety seriously and expects only the best from its drivers.
Every 6 months with a clean driving record, Barlow rewards drivers with a 1%
safety bonus based off the gross pay during that time period. A $50 bonus is given
for every clean inspection.

WHAT’S BARLOW’S RIDER POLICY?
– Barlow allows additional riders on the truck only if the proper documentation is
filed with Barlow’s Safety/Compliance Dept.

WHAT’S BARLOW’S PET POLICY?
– Barlow requires a pet deposit to allow pets on the truck. The Deposit is only
refundable if the driver fully completes a lease.

DOES BARLOW HAVE A DRIVER REFERRAL PROGRAM?
– Yes. Barlow has a tier based driver referral program. The longer the referred
driver is leased to Barlow the more money you make. Learn more
