PARTICIPANT ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY
By participating in or being affiliated with Remote Year, you have the opportunity to engage in a plethora of
really cool activities around the world. For example, there may be sailing in Croatia, exploring tunnels in
Vietnam, practicing your beekeeping skills at an apiary in Prague, wine tasting in Spain, and/or riding horses
down a mountainside in Argentina, (this list is not even close to exhaustive). Each activity has its own risks, and
rather than ask you to sign a new release or waiver with Remote Year each time you participate in activity,
we're providing this waiver to cover all Remote Year activities or Remote Year sponsored/affiliated activities.

 

1. Voluntary Participation​: I acknowledge that I have voluntarily elected to participate in the activities
coordinated and/or planned by Remote Year, Inc. (“Remote Year”) (the “Activities”). I further
acknowledge and agree that the Activities are voluntary recreational activities and not a condition or
term, either express or implied, of my participation in and/or affiliation with Remote Year. No officer,
supervisor, employee, or agent of Remote Year is requiring me to engage in the Activities.

2. Physical Condition​: I acknowledge that it is my sole responsibility to consult with my personal

physician regarding any medical condition, impairment or disability that might prevent or limit my
ability to engage in the Activities. I further understand and agree that I am solely responsible for
abiding by my personal physician’s recommendation as to any such medical restrictions on my
engaging in the Activities.

3. Assumption of Risk​: I AM AWARE THAT THERE ARE RISKS AND HAZARDS ASSOCIATED

WITH THE ACTIVITIES AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISK OF LOSS, DAMAGE OR
INJURY TO PERSON OR PROPERTY, INCLUDING MENTAL AND/OR EMOTIONAL
DISTRESS AND/OR INJURY, WHICH MAY ARISE FROM OR IS RELATED TO MY
ENGAGING IN THE ACTIVITIES, WHETHER SUCH RISK IS KNOWN OR UNKNOWN TO ME.

4. Release​: I hereby agree and understand that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians and legal

representatives will not make a claim against, sue or attach the property of Remote Year or its
subsidiaries, officers, agents or employees for injury or damages resulting from the negligence or other
acts, however caused, by any employee, agent or officer of Remote Year as a result of my engaging in
the Activities. I hereby release Remote Year and its officers, agents and employees from all actions,
claims or demands that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians and legal representatives now
have or may hereafter have for injury or damages resulting from my engaging in the Activities.

5. Other Waivers: I agree to this release in lieu of executing additional waivers in connection with each

of the individual Activities. I understand that I may be required by third parties to execute additional
written waivers, the benefits of which shall apply equally to Remote Year and shall not limit the
waivers or release herein.

6. Knowing and Voluntary Execution​: I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND

FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I VOLUNTARILY SIGN THIS AGREEMENT,
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY.
