Wednesday, Sept. 6:
2017-2018 Calendar
Join Scouting Night: 7 - 7:45 p.m., St. Pat’s Cafeteria
Parents of boys in Grades 1-5 who are interested in joining Cub
Scouts for the first time are invited to attend this information
session. Applications will be available to complete. Current scouts
do NOT need to attend or fill out a new application. Returning
scout fees -- $30 dues, $12 (optional) for Boy’s Life subscription are due by October 31, 2017. Checks payable to “Pack 252”.
Friday, Sept. 15:
Pack Meeting: 7 – 8:15 pm St. Pat's Cafeteria
Tonight is our first pack meeting, uniforms* are required (for
returning scouts) and a “uniform award” will be given! It is also the
kick-off of the Popcorn fundraiser.
Carnival Theme; sack race, snow cones, face painting by Girl
Scouts and more.
Flag Ceremony: Webelos II.
* Uniform Requirements: To receive a raffle ticket for uniform
award, the following are required: Uniform shirt buttoned & tucked
in; neckerchief and slide in place; pants or shorts have belt loops;
shoes and socks worn; belt optional; hat optional. For this Pack
meeting, Scouts are encouraged to bring a change of shirt for the
outside activities.
Sunday, Oct. 15:
Apple Orchard Tour: 9am-11am
Johnston’s Fruit Farm, 2790 US-20 ALT Swanton, OH 43558
Pick apples, learn how apple cider is made, eat a few donuts and
get a tour of the orchards.

Friday, Oct. 27
Halloween Party: 7 – 8:15 pm St. Pat's Cafeteria
“Pack Meeting” with games, snacks and costume contest.
Multiple categories to win costume contest, OK to bring a snack to
share. Flag Ceremony: Webelos I
Sunday, Nov. 5:
1 pm: Metro Parks/GeoChaching
Side Cut Park, meet at Riverview Area at 12:45pm
Go on an outdoor scavenger hunt using a GPS system to find
hidden treasures.

Friday, Dec. 1
Pack Meeting: 7 – 8:15 p.m., St. Pat's Cafeteria
This will be the pack's first Awards Ceremony for achievements to
date. Dens also will perform skits or songs, and popcorn sale
prizes will be distributed. Derby Cars will be passed out and bring
a $5 gift to exchange.
Uniforms required and uniform award given.
Flag Ceremony: Bears.
Saturday, Jan. 13:
Toledo Zoo & Aquarium Sleep Over
Take a special night hike to see some animals that come out in
the dark, meet touchable animals up close and personal,
participate in games and hands on activities that meet many scout
requirements, make enrichment for some of our zoo animals,
learn about how we take care of animals at the zoo from one of
our zookeepers.
Sleep in our Nature’s Neighborhood exhibit building
$30 per scout, $45 per adult (this is optional event). The Pack is
paying for some of the cost of the sleep over for each Scout.
RSVP required, along with a $10 deposit, by Oct. 27th.
Sunday, Jan. 28:
Blue and Gold Banquet, 1 – 3 p.m., Holy Family Center
Feller Bake
The first week of February is Cub Scouting's Birthday Week, and
we are throwing a party to celebrate. The party will include a
potluck, dessert, and scouting presentations, The main dish and
drinks will be provided by the Pack; please bring a dish to share.
Guests are invited and encouraged.
Feller Bake Contest: Scouts, bake a cake with your Dad,
Grandpa, Uncle, Brother (ladies, stay out of the kitchen for this
one). Everything must be edible. Multiple categories to win.
Uniforms required. Flag Ceremony: Wolves.
Sunday, February 18:
Pinewood Derby Race
Get your engines ready Scouts, time to build your derby cars!
Race times will be posted in January. There will be a Derby
Workshop hosted by some of our Den Leaders, those details TBD.
Sunday, February 25:
Scout Mass, 5:30pm mass join is in uniform
Saturday, March 3:
Pool Party, 6 - 8:30 p.m., West Toledo YMCA
Parents and siblings invited to swim, too! A flier with more details
and forms will be emailed in February. Please bring a dish to
share, Pack will provide pizza.

BGSU Planetarium, Secret of the Cardboard Rocket

Saturday, March 24:
Walleye Scout Night, Huntington Arena
This is an optional event for which tickets can be purchased
through the pack (Contact: Jennifer Fought). More details to
come!
Friday, April 13:
Pack Meeting: 7 – 8:15 p.m., Cafeteria
Even Keel Exotics. Awards Ceremony for achievements to date.
Uniforms required. Uniform Award. Flag Ceremony: Tigers.
Friday, May 4:
Pack Meeting: 7 – 8:15 p.m., Cafeteria
Final Awards Ceremony and Bears to host a carnival.
Scouts bring a friend to this meeting and get your name entered
into a drawing for a $25 gift card.
