Jonny Holmes

in│British Expat in Bangkok│ +66 (0)928425875
DoB: 20 Aug 1987 │

I  am  a  British  digital  marketing  and  PPC specialist who has worked in Thailand for over two years. My areas of expertise are
in  Google  AdWords,  Google  Analytics,  Facebook  Ads,  Twitter  Ads,  LinkedIn  Ads,  and  Apple  Search  Ads.  In  my
current  role,  my  main  responsibility  is  managing  mobile  app  install  campaigns  across  a  range  of  platforms  for  key  clients.  My
ideal  job  would  be  to  manage  high  budget  campaigns  across  international  markets  for  large  brands  or  to  work  as  an in-house
consultant for an ad platform.
What  distinguishes  me  from  similar  candidates  is  my  mastery  of  the  English  language  as  well  as  my  outstanding levels of data
literacy,  IT  competency,  and  a  keen  appetite for experimentation and improvement. I have a clear, non-regional English accent
and am easily understood by non-native English speakers. I am currently learning to read, speak and write the Thai language.
My current residence is near BTS Asoke in Bangkok.
August  2016  –  APPSYNTH (Case study) App development and marketing agency in Bangkok, Thailand
Campaign Manager
My  main  challenge  in  this  role  is  maximising  app  install  rates  whilst  maintaining  profitable
costs-per-install.  The  ad  platform  I  use  mostly  is  Apple  Search Ads because it delivers large volumes of
cost-effective  installs.  I  have  been  among  the  first  to  pioneer  the  use  of  this  emerging  platform  and
believe  I  have  made  Appsynth  a  leading  agency  in  delivering  expertise  on  it  through  my own trials and
innovations. I am currently analysing the lifetime values of user interest demographics on Craigslist.
● Stimulating  mobile app installs via paid ad campaigns (AdWords, Facebook LinkedIn, Apple Search
ads, and incentivised installs).
● Generating internal B2B leads via Google AdWords.
● Optimising app installs via research and split-testing store appearances and metadata (ASO).
● Analysing demographics and cohorts for growth optimisation.
● Producing detailed reports for clients on performance changes and test results.
● Blogging..
July 2015 –
DSA GLOBAL (Case study) Digital marketing agency in Bangkok, Thailand
July 2016
Senior Paid Media Manager
This  was my first job in Thailand, which was at a small business based in Jomtien when I joined. Initially
a  web  design  agency,  DSA  Global  hired  me  to  help  them  to  expand  their  digital  marketing  services  to
existing  and  new  clients.  After  three  months  of  me  working  for  them,  DSA  sidelined  their  web  design
services and shifted their primary focus to digital marketing. We moved to Bangkok and expanded into a
large  office  with  over double the number of original employees. Having hired new Thai staff, I allocated
a  large  amount  of  time  to  training  and  mentoring  junior  staff  on the fundamentals of digital marketing.
DSA Global are still growing and excelling at digital marketing services today.
● Optimised AdWords, Bing and Facebook campaigns for a diverse range of clients.
● Researched demographics and strategies. Split-tested ads, landing pages and bids.
● Produced detailed monthly reports. Kept abreast of industry changes.
● Proofread and authored engaging blogs. Liaised with staff and clients.

July 2014 –
June 2015

QA APPRENTICESHIPS Apprenticeships provider in Slough, UK
Digital Marketing Executive
My  main  duty  was  to  increase  the  number  of  candidate  applications  via  PPC  campaigns  and  landing
page  optimisation. I took over the management of the PPC campaigns from an agency as they could not
provide  the  time  or  expertise  needed  to achieve economically viable campaign performance. Expanding
the  campaigns’  geographic  reach  and  decreasing  the  bids  increased  conversions  by  over  30%  for  the
same budget as the agency was spending.
● Optimised AdWords, Bing, Facebook, Twitter and email lead-gen campaigns.
● Built and split-tested landing pages.
October  2012  –  INTELA Data vendor in London, UK
June 2014
Digital Marketing Executive
I  built  Intela’s  Google  AdWords  campaigns  from  scratch  and  managed  them  in-house.  The  objective
was  to  capture  personal  information  via  prize  draw  sites,  however  Google’s  ad  policies  regarding
personal  data  capture  pages  proved  problematic.  We  circumvented Google’s strict policies by creating a
content-rich  site  with  a  prize  draw  focus  in  order  to  continue  legitimately  generating  traffic  via
AdWords.  Due  to  the  expensive  CPCs  of  the  Search  Network,  we  spent  most  of  our  budget  on  the
Display Network in order to maintain profitability.
● Optimised AdWords, Bing and Facebook ad accounts.
● Produced reports.
August  2011  –  FIRST ONLINE SOLUTIONS Digital marketing agency in Varna, Bulgaria
Sept 2012
Junior Digital Marketing Executive
I  was  initially  offered  the  job  as  an  SEO  copywriter  but  the  director  offered  me  the chance of learning
Google  AdWords  in  my  role,  which  is  how  I  started  my  PPC  career.  My  main  focus  was  to  generate
business  for  Fantastic  Cleaners  using  international  Google  AdWords  campaigns,  whilst  receiving
training from a freelance PPC specialist. This was my first role working abroad.
● Optimised AdWords, Bing and Facebook ad accounts.
● Produced reports.
● Wrote SEO copy for internal use and clients.
July  2009  –  STARTING OUT Maidenhead, UK
August 2011
Freelance writer/editor and Barman
2005 – 2009
BA (Hons) Comparative Literary Studies, 2:1
1998 – 2005
