NEBULA FLYTHROUGH
WE FLY THROUGH A NEBULA CLOUD WITH A ROTATING CAMERA SHOT.
"The Cosmos is all that is or ever
was or ever will be" - Carl Sagan

NEBULA IMAGES
KEN BURNS EFFECT OF NEBULA IMAGES AND THEIR PROPERTIES
Nebulae are huge clouds of dust and
gas which can have their own
gravity. They have been referred to
as the Pillars of Creation.
This can cause them to collapse, so
it folds in on itself.
It gets denser and denser towards
the center of the cloud where
hydrogen atoms are fused together
to make helium which fuses to make
carbon and oxygen.
As Space continued to expand,
cosmic evolution unfolded. As the
first generation of stars died,
they seeded space with heavier
elements, making possible the
formation of planets and life
itself.
CRAB NEBULA
When we look at the Crab Nebula,
we’re looking much further back in
time, 6500 light years from Earth.
It was once a giant star, ten times
the mass of the sun until it
exploded in a supernova.
At it’s heart would have been a
pulsar spinning 30 times a second.
It’s magnetic field whipped
electrons into a frenzy,
accelerating them at almost the
speed of light. They shine with a
blue glow that lights up the
tendrils of gas, still unravelling
from the supernova.

STARS AND PLANETS
THE SUN EMITTING SOLAR FLARES
Our Sun powers the wind and the
waves and all the life on the
surface of our world.
The Sun holds all the worlds of the
solar system in its gravitational
embrace, starting with Mercury to
cloud covered Venus.
Human eyes only see a sliver of
light that shines in the
cosmos.Science gives us the power
to see what our senses cannot.
IFRARED, XRAY’S AND GAMMA RAY FILTERS
A belt of asteroids circles the sun
between the orbits of Mars and
Jupiter. Jupiter itself has more
mass than all the planets combined.

SUPERNOVA
SUPERGIANT RED STAR EXPANDING AND IMPLODING
When giant stars exhaust their
nuclear fuel, they can no longer
stay hot enough to fend off the
inward pull of their own gravity.
The most massive stars collapse
into darkness. It will enshroud the
shrunken corpse of a supergiant
star. The boundary that separates a
black hole from the rest of the
universe is called an event
horizon.
BLACK HOLE
Space can expand, contract and warp
without limit. At million’s of g’s,
even light bows to gravity. The
light still moves at its constant
speed but cannot escape.
The mass can amount to 4 million
suns at the center. When spacetime
is warped by the extreme gravity of
a Black Hole, time is stretched to

the limit. Black holes may very
well be the tunnels through the
universe.

MULTIVERSE
ZOOM OUT OF OBSERVABLE UNIVERSE INTO BUBBLES IN THE
MULTIVERSE
The observable universe spans back
around 13.8 billion years. A
network of a hundred billion
galaxies. It’s our cosmic horizon.
There hasn’t been enough time for
the light that is too far away to
have reached us.
Many scientists suspect that all of
this, all the world’s star’s,
galaxies and clusters in our
observable universe is but one tiny
bubble in an infinite ocean of
other universes - A multiverse.
Universe upon universe. World’s
without end.
