new

ministry grid
We are excited for the launch
of this new online leadership
training program on 4 March.
Many of you will remember
several months ago when David
Apple from LifeWay was with us
to lead in a training time for all
of our volunteer teachers and
leaders. This follows as one of
the tools our church will have
access to. We believe that
training matters! It matters for
those in current leadership, and
for the leaders in the future that
we want to prepare to lead in
our small group Bible studies.
Training church leaders is a
concept that is as old as the
church itself. From Moses to
Paul, biblical examples abound
of individuals who led and
served God’s people while
raising new leaders to continue
the work.

Benefits of the Goal sheet:

reaching the goal
• Alerts you to obstacles
• Helps identify people and skills that
can help you
• Keys you into scriptural
motivation

KIBC in… Cambodia
“The opportunity to join in the trip to
Cambodia was answered prayer for me. I
thank God for the time that my employer
allowed me to be away. There was no
mistaking the hopelessness we saw in the
areas where our prayer walking took us
on Areykasat Island. I personally
witnessed young people gambling, using
drugs, and even prostitution in that place.
I noticed a young girl hiding cigarettes in
her pocket, and a young boy under the
influence of drugs, who wanted to join in
with us while we were teaching a Bible
study, and another very young girl, who
was obviously pregnant. In each case,
they seemed hopeless. I felt such a
burden inside my heart to share my faith
with those around us whose lives seemed
to be wasted. I knew that this HOPE in my
heart - the grace of God - could give their
lives new meaning! All Areykasat Island
needed was one  individual to share their
faith so that the HOPE of Christ would be
evident and offer an opportunity to bring
new meaning to their lives.”
– Rowena Pelayo, KIBC member
Where sin increased, grace increased all the
more. Romans 5:20
