• Created a content management system for internal editors using the Javascript framework Google
Polymer along with MongoDB
• Designed and developed the user interface for a variety of reporting tools on student progress to be
used by administrators of school districts across the globe
• Wrote tests for individual web components using Selenium along with Mocha and Chai
• Participated in a daily standup to present progress and goals as part of the Agile development process
• Used version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket integrated with the continuous deployment
system Travis CI in order to quickly sync code and test applications in production

• Led programs to teach elementary and middle school aged children the basics of web development

Project Experience
Slackbot – Designed and trained a chat bot for the application Slack using web sockets, natural language
processing, and a machine learning classifier
LongboardBase – Aggregated information along with images for a large variety of longboard decks and created
a responsive web based database app for them using HTML, SCSS, vanilla Javascript, PHP, and MySQL, with an
advanced search as well as user submission (https://bit.do/lbbase2)
Sorry! Game – Worked with a team to develop a software version of the popular board game “Sorry!” using
Java with an interactive GUI
Monster Hunter DB – Developed an iPhone application for creating and sharing armor sets for the Nintendo DS
game Monster Hunter using Swift 3.0
Venmo Calc Chrome Extension – Created a chrome extension for the popular peer-to-peer payment
application Venmo which calculates and displays lifetime statistics about an individual’s usage

Awards
UVM Statestreet and IBM Codefest, 2nd Place – Created a schedule builder application with a team over the
course of 12 hours, and placed second overall
UVM Computer Science Fair, 3rd Place in Advanced Projects – Presented our Monster Hunter DB mobile app at
the annual UVM computer science fair and placed third in the advanced projects category
Eagle Scout – Earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America by completing a wide array of
requirements over the course of eight years
