will you worship?
In mid-May, we will welcome...
Ray Jones – a teacher, worship leader, producer and director of
evangelistic outreach events, who has 43 years of worship leading
experience. Scheduled times with the KIBC Adult Choir, Praise Team
and church musicians will take place during May 20-27.
I have found that worship opens the spirit and soul to accept the truth of what Jesus did for us.
People respond to the invitation to receive Jesus as their Savior after experiencing the Spirit’s
movement through worship. – Ray Jones

nametag
sunday
May 20
Why in the world are we
emphasizing nametags? Simple. Because we all
need help with names. I desire to know who
people are that attend our services, but I’m not
someone who has the gift of remembering
names. I would much prefer calling people by
name as I see them – nametags allow me to do
so. Some of you may find a nametag intrusive,
but understand that we are interested in getting
to know you. Truly, we want relationships that
go beyond the shaking of hands and reading of
nametags. We want a church where people
don’t just know names, but they actually know
each other. One place to start is by allowing
people to become familiar enough with who
you are that they are able to start a
conversation.
– Pastor Butch

Families of church leaders and pastors
from West China will be in Hong Kong for
a Family Camp in July. Currently, they are
seeking individuals who would give of
their time during the week to assist with
children in the morning and afternoon
hours. Knowing Mandarin is not required.
Anyone wishing to know more, please
talk with Pastor Butch.
deacon’s retreat
May 22
Ray Jones will be leading in the annual
retreat for deacon’s, taking place at
Metrotown at Tiu Keng Leng.
don’t wait,
do it this week!
Vacation Bible School matters for the imprint
and the impact it can make on the heart of a
child. On Sunday mornings, we have such a
limited time to teach our children valuable
lessons from God’s Word. So the extended time
we have with VBS allows us the opportunity to
go deeper and help to make God’s Word come
alive to these children who are dependent on
adults to teach them about having a personal
relationship with Christ.
Vacation Bible School matters because some
parents won’t take their kids to church, but
they will drop them off at VBS. And it may be
their only chance to learn about Jesus.
For some children, VBS matters because it’s the
only time they’ll ever come to church. See any
families you might invite to come to KIBC this
summer? Don’t wait; do it this week!
