TRANSFORMING FROM MORTAL TO IMMORTALITY
1Co. 15:51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed —
1Co. 15:52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,
the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
1Co. 15:53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with
immortality.
1Co. 15:54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with
immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in
victory.” [Isaiah 25:8]
Just before the rapture of the saints of God takes place, they will transform from mortal
to immortality. Many evangelical Christians understand that this transformation will
happen suddenly for those who have given their lives to Jesus, at God’s appointed time.
This understanding is accurate, except that the understanding of what it means to give
one’s life to Jesus is not equally accurate. The understanding that one gives her/his life
to Jesus by saying “sinner’s prayer” is not accurate.
Ge. 3:22 And the LORD God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and
evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat,
and live for ever.”
Ge. 3:23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from
which he had been taken.
Sin is the reason why God prevented mankind from transforming from mortal to
immortality and drove mankind into the realm of death. Until sin is removed from
mankind, there will never be any transformation from mortal to immortality and the
rapture will not be able to take place. When you see human beings who are not yet
completely free from sin saying that rapture could happen any moment, just laugh out
loud.
Ja. 1:14 But each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.
Ja. 1:15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown,
gives birth to death.
Sin enters the heart of man through the mind. It is in the mind that evil desire is
conceived. The first transformation that should take place in a person that wants to make
the rapture is the renewal of the mind.

Renewal of the Mind
Ro. 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living
sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship.
Ro. 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good,
pleasing and perfect will.

1Jn. 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of
the Father is not in him.
1Jn. 2:16 For everything in the world — the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the
boasting of what he has and does — comes not from the Father but from the world.
1Jn. 2:17 The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives
forever.
Renewal of the mind means to no longer conform to the pattern of this world. The whole
world is under the control of the evil one (1Jn. 5:19). The value system of this world is not
in agreement with God’s value system. The fall of man occurred as a result of Satan
presenting his value system to mankind and mankind’s acceptance of Satan’s value
system. In order to reverse the fall of man, we have to begin with the value system and
renew our minds in that regard. We make up our minds to offer our bodies as living
sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This is what it actually means to give one’s life to
Jesus.

Purification of the Heart
Sin dwells in the heart. Renewal of the mind helps to keep new sin away. But what about
the old sinful habits in the heart? Resident sins must be purged out of the heart in order
for God to allow a person to eat the fruit of the tree of life.
Nu. 19:9 “A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and put them in a
ceremonially clean place outside the camp. They shall be kept by the Israelite community for use
in the water of cleansing; it is for purification from sin.
In the Old Testament, purification from sin was done by putting the ashes of a heifer that
had been used in burnt offering in water used for cleansing. In the New Testament, there
is only one previous sacrifice, which the death of Jesus Christ as a sacrifice of atonement
on the cross of Calvary. In the place of the Old Testament ashes of heifer, we have the
blood of Jesus that was shed for our redemption. In the place of the Old Testament water
of cleansing, we have word of faith. In order to purify the heart in the New Testament,
we purify the heart by the blood of Jesus using word of faith.
Ep. 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
Ep. 5:26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
Ep. 5:27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other
blemish, but holy and blameless.
Ro. 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”
[Deut. 30:14] that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming.
This is how I purify my heart daily:

I sprinkle my heart with the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for my redemption on
the cross of Calvary. I overcome sin in my heart by the blood of Jesus. I wash away every
sin from my heart by the blood of Jesus through the Holy Spirit of God, in the name of
Jesus Christ. Amen.
If you pray this kind of prayer every day, using your imagination to visualize cleansing
your heart with the blood of Jesus, you will notice transformation of your mind. Make
sure you are already baptized into Jesus Christ, in water and in the Spirit.

Blessed are the Pure in Heart
Mt. 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
If you achieve total purity in heart, you will definitely have a mighty encounter with God
and you will never be the same again. You will begin to manifest as a real son of God.
Ro. 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will
be revealed in us.
Ro. 8:19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.
Ro. 8:22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right
up to the present time.
Ro. 8:23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as
we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
The 144,000 firstfruits of Israel are about to arise.

From Beyond the Rivers of Cush
Zep. 3:9 “Then will I purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the
LORD and serve him shoulder to shoulder.
Zep. 3:10 From beyond the rivers of Cush my worshippers, my scattered people, will bring me
offerings.
It is time for the Israelites residing beyond the rivers of Cush (Jews of Nigeria) to arise
and shine. They will pioneer the purification of the people of God around the world.
