JACK LENG SELECTED WORKS 2007-2011  Book Jacket - “Green Plague” 13.5x8 in. (6x8 in. covers) September 2011 Photoshop, Illustrator GRAPHIC DESIGN - PRINT | 01  Initially created for a class on computer graphics. The assignment required that students address the topic of sustainability - I chose to create a satirical cover for a fictional book opposed to green initiatives. The jacket was illustrated in Photoshop through photo manipulation, blending modes, and by hand. The layout, text, and icons were designed in Illustrator. GRAPHIC DESIGN - PRINT | 02  Legacy Poster - Fitzgerald This class assignment was to 17x21 in. celebrate an artist’s legacy in a poster. August 2011 I used custom brushes, handpainting, blending Photoshop modes, masks, and adjustment layers to create a poster that I felt reflected Fitzgerald’s critique of Jazz Age America and the contradictions in his own life story. GRAPHIC DESIGN - PRINT | 03  STARRING JACK LENG PRESENTS A BRAD NEELY PRODUCTION BEARSTRONAUTS JOHN F KENNEDY YOGI BEAR POOH BEAR COCA COLA BEAR AND MAO ZEDONG WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY BRAD NEELY PRODUCED BY BRAD NEELY MUSIC BY BRAD NEELY Movie Poster - “Bearstronauts” In this personal project, I used an 27x41 in. analogous color palette and vector July 2011 illustration to create a movie poster with a retro, Illustrator stylized aesthetic while the arrangement of elements was intended to evoke a cliché, “epic summer blockbuster” feel. GRAPHIC DESIGN - PRINT | 04  Monochromatic Interior Drawing The goal of this class 1900x1900 pt. assignment was to realistically August 2011 represent a household interior with a Illustrator monochromatic color palette and vectors.
