Minutes of the Meeting Subject Monthly Yas Links Advisory Committee Meeting Date 5th October 2011 Facilitator Yas Links Abu Dhabi / Mr. Chris White Time 18:00 Location Academy Meeting Room Mr. Tom Rourke Mr. Dan Weisser Ms. Sharon Hall Prepared by Ms. Jing Morada Attendees Mr. John Lee Mr. Shane Groves KEY POINTS DISCUSSED Item Subject 1 CW welcomed the members of the Advisory Committee 2 Schedule of Advisory Committee Meeting 3 Purpose of the Advisory Committee 4 Events recommendations 5 Other concerns & recommendations Highlights  CW informed the committee members that Mr. Joe Howell will not be a part of the committee – due to several business trips outside UAE.  Yas Links is working on for the replacement of Joe Howell & hopefully it will be announced in the next meeting.  Yas Links will communicate to all the UAE Managers the appointment of the two (2) YL Club Captains. Committee meetings shall take place every first Wednesday of each month at 18:00.  CW explained the role and importance of the committee members. Some of the key points are:  To communicate the members concerns/feedback - Yas Links can’t guarantee anything but will definitely try to see the possibilities in providing the Members’ needs.  The two (2) Club captains are encouraged to communicate more often with the YL members; and to support this role, the two (2) Club Captain will be given an allowance in Hickory’s.  To assist and develop golf operations programs/events desired by the members.  Interclub Matches st  Monthly Medal – possibility to make this event 1 Friday of each month  Roll Up – once a month  Medal Round – should be a draw  Stableford –Roll up  Family & Golf packages  Scratch League (TRourke & DWeisser will be working on this)  To create a section in the Members Newsletter for the Advisory Committee Members  Polish the format of the Members Newsletter – to make it more focused to Members’ concerns/suggestions  To create a ‘standard email’ message to welcome new member  Activate ‘Members’ section in Yas Links’ website, where minutes of the monthly meeting can be viewed as well.
