It was a hard fought meet that resulted in several big milestones for the Bobcats. Ohio tallied 7 event wins on the day. The first win was the 200 medley relay team of Ferguson, Bagan, Dawson, and Clark. A few events later Addy Ferguson took the win in the 100 back. Ferguson’s win was followed by Tori Bagan’s first place in the 100 breast, and Laura Dawson’s first in the 200 back. The wins in those events solidified undefeated dual meet performances for the 200 medley relay, Bagan (100 breast), Ferguson (100 back), and Dawson (200 back). Other event wins on the day were Bianca Hauzer in the 500 free, Dawson again in the 200 fly, and Ferguson in the 100 fly. Athletic Department Honor Roll On February 10th, twelve student-athletes from the swimming and diving program were recognized for their academic achievements as part of the Athletic Department Honor Roll. The Athletic Department Honor Roll is for student-athletes that held a 3.0 or higher GPA. The following student-athletes were given the honor: Myriah Ariza-Balter, Tori Bagan, Haley Clark, Laura Dawson, Carrie Dukes, Addy Ferguson, Michelle Gasior, Kelse Johnson, Liz Murphy, Elena Patz, Sara Sams, and Hannah Shinn. Congratulations to our AD Honor role members! CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Ohio University has once again been named as a 2014 Fall Semester CSCAA Scholar AllAmerica Team! The Bobcats earned the accomplishment with a cumulative 3.25 GPA.  PAGE 2 2015 MAC Championships The 2015 MAC Championships came to a close this past week. The Bobcats had a great meet, posting 43 lifetime best times, 18 new performances that cracked Ohio’s all time top 10, 4 MAC event wins, 7 NCAA B cuts, 3 new team records, 2 All-MAC 1st team members, a new MAC meet record, and one of our swimmers was named the MAC swimmer of the meet. Highlights from the meet included Addy Ferguson defending her MAC titles in the 100 fly and 100 back. Addy is now the 2 time defending champion in the 100 fly, and the three time defending champion in the 100 back. Laura Dawson had an incredible meet as well. After placing 3rd in the 100 fly, Laura won titles in both the 200 fly and 200 back setting new team records in both. Laura’s 1:55.23 in the 200 back also broke the previous MAC meet record, and her efforts throughout the week earned her MAC Swimmer of the meet honors. Although the 6th place finish was not what our team wanted, we were very happy with the girls’ effort and fight throughout the entire meet.
