PRIMARY SCHOOL OF LAKKOMA AN INTERVIEW WITH OUR HEADMISTRESSIN ENGLISH DURING OUR ENGLISH CLASS It is such a pleasure to have the headmistress of the school with us today! How did you become a headmistress? To become a headmistress you must work hard, take exams and sit an interview. I did all these and I was successful at them. Where do you live? I live in Kardia, a village very near Thessaloniki. Read the interview Do you enjoy life in Kardia? Yes, I like living in Kardia because it is a quiet, picturesque village with houses and gardens. There aren’t many cars or blocks of flats there and the air is clean. What do you usually do in the evenings? I read books, I go out with my children or I watch T.V What do you recommend to children who want to be good pupils? I recommend to them to study hard and to do their best. What do you recommend to the teachers? Pretty much the same: To love children, to try their best and to be passionate with their job. Do you like your job? Of course, I do. After all, it was my choice and I have never had second thoughts about this choice. I am always happy to be among children and give them the best I can. What is your routine like at school? My routine is very demanding. I start very early in the morning, at about 7 o’clock, because I am responsible for the morning shift (that is for the children that come to school very early because their parents have to go to work), then I prepare all kinds of official papers which are necessary for the good function of the school and finally I teach some subjects to certain classes.
