We are a honest seller, we do use a picture of white table with purple tinge when room is not bright as the 2nd picture in description. Sub gloss white reflects less light comparing to high gloss white especially when the room is not bright enough or you place white table into dark area, you will have the illusion the shelf is in a purple tinge while this is actually how the  light get reflected from shelf to your eyes. We did use a real picture as the 4th picture, below is your picture and our picture side by side, both pictures are white. How to fix back panel: Use small nails to minimize the gap betweel back panel and shelf. Table top need to be install inside of the bookcase as per description pictures,so table top is slightly shorter then bookcase.   How about we post some small nails with a mobile table worth $40?
