WASHINGTON STATE PATROL INVESTIGATOR’S CASE LOG OPS CASE NO.: INVESTIGATOR: DATE TIME 11/29/17 0457 0510 0520 Campus troopers assisting in blocking Jefferson behind RDF (providing support). 0525 TCSO started push into encampment to clear, no one inside camp yet. 0530 Sent campus trooper to check on Health Care Authority building (report of subjects in over watch) 0537 Sweep complete, empty 0605 0610 1 OF WSP arrived on post at Jefferson to find several subjects at the “structure” (lifeguard chair). The troopers approached and they subjects left peacefully. Lt. O’Shannon advised the subjects left behind multiple bats, axes, etc. Elmore worked with O’Shannon and addressed a communication concern. Comm’s are up and running now. Press on scene 0558 3000-371-008 R 11/06 NOTES 0517 0541 PAGE Elmore, Z.M. RDF on Jefferson is pushing back crowd of approximately 20 protestors over tunnel. A small group was inquiring as to how to get their tarps and other belongings back. Lt. O’Shannon advised them to come back during hours of light to speak with City of Olympia. Group walked down 7th to Sergeant Stewarts squad and is standing online against them. Loaders and dump trucks standing by to clean up camp as soon as K9 completes sweep. 0613 RDF holding line at 7th and Jefferson (about 20 protestors) 0616 Two sent to GA for bathroom break 0623 Food being sent to Troopers 0640 Group o 0655 Bomb sweep complete. Nothing located 0700 Sending Smokey 3 to check on possible vandalism to locomotive in East Olympia 0712 Moving plane to Port of Olympia to check South Fence line 0715 Group of 7-10 protestors wearing black leaving encampment area west near Jefferson. 0719 O’Shannon reported only about 5 protestors left at encampment 0740 Troopers are standing by, but in cars to rest. Smokey 3 was sent to hanger on standby for when locomotive to be move in approximately 1.5 hours. 0800 Captain Hall and Lt. Elmore cleared CP to check on posts.
