What is the Pro account?
The Pro account is the paid plan of PDF Archive. Storage goes from 1 GB to 250 GB, every file format is accepted, and public links no longer expire after seven days. The service stays as simple as before. To see the details of the offer, visit the Pro account page.
How much does the Pro account cost?
The Pro account is offered at 19 EUR per month or 190 EUR per year (that is two months free). It includes 250 GB of storage space.
What does the Pro account include?
The Pro account includes, among other things:
  • 250 GB of storage space.
  • Support for every file format (and no longer PDF, PostScript and EPS alone).
  • Files up to 8 GB and up to 1,000,000 archived files.
  • Multiple upload of up to 100 files at once.
  • Folders and permanent QR codes, within the caps shown on the pricing page.
  • Receiving files up to 2 GB.
• Advanced sharing options (direct link, direct download, PDF web reader) and indexing of public shares by search engines.
How do I move to the Pro account?
Go to the Pro account page, then follow the steps to subscribe. The subscription can be paid monthly or yearly, and can be cancelled at any time.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. The free account is permanent: 1 GB of space and up to 1,000 files, with no bank card and no trial period. Your documents stay reachable as long as your account exists. The Pro account is optional: it opens more space, every file format and the advanced sharing options, monthly or yearly, with no commitment.
Is the price per document, or for my whole account?
For your whole account. There is nothing to pay per document.
You upload as many documents as your space holds, and the subscription does not change because you add one more. What counts is the space taken. The number of files and the number of shares are free, however large they get.
The details of the price and the space included are in the answer about the cost of the Pro account, and the free plan is described right next to it.
For how long is my document kept at that price?
For as long as you keep it. The subscription does not buy a hosting period.
You do not pay to keep a document for a period after which you would have to pay again for it to stay. You pay for an account, and as long as that account exists, what you archived in it stays there, in its place. An archived document has no end date and does not erase itself: it goes on the day you delete it, not before.
If the subscription stops, nothing is deleted either. The account goes back to the free plan and your documents stay reachable. The details are in the answer about what happens to your account when a Pro subscription expires.
One point not to confuse, because there are two separate actions. Archiving a document in your account is what this answer is about: it stays there. Uploading a file simply to get a sharing link, without archiving it, is something else: the file does not join your documents and you will not find it in your archive. Its fate follows that of the link. If you gave the share an end date, the file is deleted on that date. If you did not, it stays, and it takes up space without appearing among your documents. To keep a document, archive it.
What is an upload token for?
To let a tool upload documents into your archive, without ever giving it your password.
You create the token from your account. You give it a scope, a specific folder or all your folders, and you tick what it is allowed to do. A token that only carries the permission to add can neither read nor delete your documents, and a token limited to one folder writes nowhere else, even if it is stolen.
The same token serves the right click of the Finder on a Mac (the step by step), the command line, the API and S3 clients, and MCP-compatible AI assistants (AI integration).
It can be revoked at any time, and every call is recorded with its date and its IP address. The upload token is part of the Pro account.
